What to expect

Before your first session

There is nothing special you need to do before a session. However, we ask that you arrive early for your initial session to complete a medical history form.

You are most welcome to bring a support person or people with you.

A reminder email will be sent 48 hours before your appointment and a text reminder will be sent 24 hours before your session.

First session

On your initial appointment, we will dedicate time to discussing the issues you want to address and completing the necessary tests to identify their root causes.

Each individual's situation is unique, so some may have single areas to focus on, while others may present with more intricate concerns.

Typically, we can start treatment and provide pain relief during your first visit. The specific type of initial treatment will be tailored to your specific needs.

The most common initial treatments include hands-on muscle release, dry needling, and cupping aimed at alleviating your symptoms.

Follow-up sessions

The most common follow-up session is 60 minutes. This depends on the severity and complexity of your case.

Follow-up visits are usually weekly at the beginning of a treatment plan.

The timeframe for experiencing improvements usually falls between two and 10 weeks, depending on the severity of the issue.

After your session

Just like after a gym session, mild tenderness or soreness is common after a therapy session. This kind of response usually indicates the treatment was effective.

The duration of symptoms after your session varies based on a range of factors including treatment type, age, stress, hydration, post-session activity, medication, and genetic predispositions.

Potential symptoms following your specific treatment will be discussed with you. You can expect a follow-up message approximately 24 hours after your session to assess any symptoms. Of course, you are welcome to reach out at any time if you have any concerns.
